The location of the Attic On The Historic Shambles was absolutely perfect for exploring all the main tourist sites in York. Everything was within a 5-minute walk, including the river. We loved the convenience of having plenty of nice places to eat nearby and a co-op just 30 meters from the door. The apartment itself was clean, cosy, and had everything we needed for a self-catering holiday. Despite the 55 steps to get to the apartment, we knew what to expect and it turned out to be a good workout. we would highly recommend this place to any couple or small family. Fantastic.
The only drawback was the dated furniture and mod cons, but they were still functional and didn't take away from our stay. Additionally, the 4 and a half flights of stairs may be challenging for those who struggle with stairs.

The hosts, Adam and Cherita, were quick to answer any questions I had. I highly recommend this place for a nice weekend away!

This place is absolutely mind-blowing! From the moment we stepped inside, we were instantly impressed. The cleanliness and coziness of the apartment were out of this world. And when I say everything was provided, I mean EVERYTHING! The location is simply super. All the main tourist sites, the river, and amazing places to eat are just a stone's throw away. Plus, there's a convenient co-op just 30 meters from the door. Walking out of the building and experiencing the historic shambles was truly jaw-dropping. I can't recommend this place enough for couples or small families looking for a fantastic self-catering holiday. It's simply marvellous!

We loved being in the heart of the action and having plenty of options for dining out or getting takeaways. the convenience of having a Co-op just 30 meters from the door was a big plus.
The shower fitting was a bit problematic as it kept falling off the hook. It definitely needs some attention.

Great location, right in the heart of the action. Everything within a short walk. Co-op nearby for convenience. Loved the historical feel of the building.
The accommodation was on the top floor, which meant climbing 4 and a half flights of stairs. Not ideal if you struggle with stairs.
